Oak Park, CA — March 11, 2026 — CNC Technologies, LLC announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the City of Pasadena, California to deliver two mission-ready Bell 505 helicopters and a five-year aviation, technology, training, and ongoing service and operational support program delivered by CNC Technologies for the Pasadena Police Department Air Operations Section.
The five-year program encompasses aircraft procurement, advanced mission-system integration, secure information-technology infrastructure, comprehensive training, and continuous service and operational support. Designed as a fully integrated public-safety aviation solution, the agreement supports Pasadena’s day-to-day law-enforcement operations, large-scale event security, and coordinated missions involving city, state, and federal partners. The Pasadena Police Department Air Operations Section provides regional air support to Pasadena and numerous other cities throughout the San Gabriel Valley, operating across more than 175 square miles and serving over 880,000 residents.
As prime contractor, CNC Technologies will provide end-to-end program execution, including project management, engineering oversight, acceptance testing, documentation, and continuous operational support. The program emphasizes fleet standardization, operational reliability, and interoperability across agencies, while reinforcing CNC’s role as a long-term partner focused on readiness, uptime, and real-world operational performance.
The Bell 505 helicopters will be equipped with a comprehensive law-enforcement mission suite featuring Wescam MX-10 electro-optical/infrared imaging systems by L3Harris, tactical mapping, NVG-compatible cockpit upgrades, high-intensity searchlight capability, and resilient real-time video transmission over both microwave and LTE/5G networks. Secure video distribution and data management will be delivered through CNC.Live, CNC’s cloud-based platform providing encrypted, low-latency access for command staff and authorized partner agencies.
“Pasadena’s investment reflects a forward-looking approach to public safety that integrates aviation, secure technology, and hands-on operational support,” said Alex Giuffrida, Managing Partner at CNC Technologies. “This five-year program underscores CNC’s commitment to delivering not only mission-ready aircraft, but also the service, training, and operational support required to keep public-safety aviation units effective every day.”
Mission-system installation will be performed under CNC’s direct engineering oversight by Hangar One Avionics, an FAA Part 145 repair station with extensive experience integrating complex public-safety aviation systems. All work will comply with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practices.
In addition to aircraft delivery, the program includes a comprehensive five-year service and training framework. CNC will provide 24/7/365 technical support, remote diagnostics, on-site field service, and training for pilots, tactical flight officers, and maintenance personnel. The agreement also supports Pasadena’s existing aviation and ground infrastructure, ensuring continuity, scalability, and operational reliability.
“With this award, Pasadena continues to demonstrate leadership in public-safety aviation and interagency coordination,” said Ron Magocsi, Chief Technology Officer at CNC Technologies. “CNC is proud to partner with the City, Bell, and L3Harris to deliver a program built around real-world service, training, and operational support.”
